Features

TREMA CYCLONE

The TREMA CYCLONE is a high-performance primary dust collection system designed to separate particulate matter from air or gas streams using centrifugal force. Featuring a unique helical cover design, TREMA Cyclones are engineered for maximum collection efficiency, making them indispensable for gas cleaning, de-dusting, and pneumatic conveying.

Advanced Centrifugal Separation Technology

TREMA Cyclones operate by creating a high-velocity spiral flow within a cylindrical chamber. As the dust-laden air enters through the helical inlet, centrifugal force flings the heavier particles toward the outer wall. These particles then lose velocity and settle into the dust bin at the bottom, while the cleaned air exits through the center of the cyclone.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Unique Helical Cover: Our proprietary helical inlet design minimizes turbulence and optimizes the air path, significantly increasing the separation efficiency for finer dust particles.
  • Primary Protection: When used in series with a Pulse Jet Bag Filter, the TREMA Cyclone acts as a pre-separator. This removes the bulk of the dust load, significantly extending the lifespan of the filter bags and reducing overall maintenance costs.
  • Modular Scalability: Designed to handle any airflow requirement starting from 500 m³/hr. For larger industrial capacities (25,000 m³/hr and above), we offer Twin and Quadruple (Multi-Cyclone) arrangements to maximize performance without increasing the vertical footprint excessively.
  • Product Recovery: Ideal for industries where the "dust" is actually a valuable product (such as milk powder, chemicals, or wood flour), allowing for efficient recovery and recirculation.
  • No Moving Parts: The robust, stationary design ensures long-term durability with minimal mechanical wear and tear.

Industry Applications

The TREMA Cyclone is a versatile solution used across a wide range of sectors for emission control and material handling:

  • Woodworking & Sawmills: Collection of sawdust, wood chips, and shavings.
  • Food Processing: Recovery of powdered ingredients (flour, sugar, spices) and grain handling.
  • Chemical & Pharma: Separation of powdered chemicals and airborne particulates during manufacturing.
  • Cement & Mining: Handling of abrasive mineral dust and clinker particles.
  • Pneumatic Conveying: Acts as a receiver to separate conveyed material from the transport air.
  • Boiler Systems: Used as a spark arrestor or grit collector before the air reaches the chimney or bag filter.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about TREMA CYCLONE

Traditional cyclones can suffer from "short-circuiting" where air escapes before the dust is separated. Our unique helical cover guides the air into a perfect spiral immediately upon entry, which reduces pressure drop and increases the centrifugal impact on smaller dust particles.

Cyclones are excellent primary collectors for coarse and medium-sized particles. However, for extremely fine "sub-micron" dust or to meet strict environmental emission norms, we recommend using a TREMA Cyclone as a pre-cleaner followed by a Pulse Jet Bag Filter.

For capacities exceeding 25,000 m³/hr, we suggest Twin or Quadruple arrangements. By splitting the air into multiple smaller cyclone shells, we maintain high centrifugal velocities and better collection efficiency than one massive, oversized unit would provide.

Yes. Since cyclones have no internal filter media or moving parts, they can be manufactured from specialized heat-resistant alloys to handle hot flue gases from boilers or kilns that would otherwise damage a bag filter.

This depends on your dust load. For continuous operations, we can equip the TREMA Cyclone with a Rotary Air Lock Valve, which allows for the continuous discharge of dust without losing vacuum or pressure within the system.
