Gas & Oil Fired Steam Boiler

The STEAMGEN series is a high-efficiency, four-pass horizontal package boiler designed for facilities with a significant thermal oil capacity and a concurrent requirement for process steam. Unlike traditional boilers that require their own burner and fuel source, the STEAMGEN operates on the heat exchange principle.

By utilizing the high-temperature thermal oil already circulating in your plant, the STEAMGEN transfers heat through a specialized tube bundle immersed in a water bath. This allows for safe, reliable, and cost-effective steam generation without the need for an additional combustion system.

Operating Range

  • Capacity – 0.5 TPH to 4.0 TPH
  • Fuel- Heat oil from thermic fluid heater
  • Pressure- 10.54 Kg/cm² to 21 Kg/cm²

Advanced Engineering & Heat Exchange

The STEAMGEN is an IBR-designed and manufactured unit, ensuring it meets the most rigorous safety and performance standards for high-pressure steam.

  • Four-Pass Heat Transfer: The thermal oil travels through a four-pass tube arrangement, ensuring maximum contact time and thermal efficiency.
  • No Additional Fuel Required: By tapping into your existing thermic fluid heater, you eliminate the need for a secondary chimney, fuel piping, or burner maintenance for your steam demand.
  • Stable Steam Quality: The indirect heating method provides a very stable and consistent heat source, resulting in high-quality saturated steam with minimal pressure fluctuations.
  • Robust Shell & Tube Design: Built for longevity, the horizontal shell contains a high-surface-area tube bundle optimized for rapid steam generation.

Key Industry Applications

The STEAMGEN is the ideal solution for integrated plants where thermal oil is the primary heating medium:

  • Chemical & Petrochemical: For heating reactors and distillation columns while simultaneously needing steam for purging or auxiliary heating.
  • Textile Processing: Where thermic fluid heaters run stenters or drying ranges, and steam is required for dyeing or finishing.
  • Plywood & Laminates: For high-temperature pressing (via oil) and steam-based conditioning or treatment.
  • Food Processing: For frying or large-scale baking (via oil) and sterilization/sanitation (via steam).
  • Pharmaceuticals: For multi-stage heating processes where clean, indirect steam generation is preferred.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Gas & Oil Fired Steam Boiler

It acts as a high-efficiency heat exchanger. High-temperature thermal oil from your main heater flows through the STEAMGEN’s internal tubes. These tubes are submerged in water; as the oil passes through, it transfers its heat to the water, turning it into steam.

Yes, provided your existing thermic fluid heater has enough spare capacity (Kcal/hr) to meet the steam generation requirements of the STEAMGEN unit. Our engineers can help you calculate the required oil flow and temperature.

Because there is no combustion, there is no soot buildup, no burner to service, and no chimney to clean. Maintenance is largely limited to standard water-side inspections and ensuring the thermal oil remains clean.

Since the STEAMGEN is an IBR-certified pressure vessel generating high-pressure steam, it must be operated according to local boiler regulations, which typically require a qualified attendant for units of this capacity.

Absolutely. The STEAMGEN is designed for high-pressure applications, with standard models reaching up to 21 Kg/cm², making it suitable for demanding industrial processes.
