Coal, Agro Pellet & FBC Fired Thermic Fluid Heater

The VTF Series is a specialized vertical, four-pass thermic fluid heater designed for high-temperature industrial processes. Engineered with Fluidized Bed Combustion (FBC) technology, this series is optimized to deliver maximum thermal efficiency using a variety of cost-effective solid fuels, including crushed coal, agro-pellets, and crushed briquettes.

With a robust four-pass design, the VTF Series ensures superior heat absorption and an overall thermal efficiency of 78% (±2%) on Gross Calorific Value (GCV) when integrated with an Air Pre-Heater (APH).

Operating Range

  • Capacity – 4,00,000 Kcal/hr. To 50,00,000 Kcal/hr.
  • Fuel-Crushed Coal/ Agro Pellet/ Crushed Briquette
  • Overall efficiency of 78 % (+/-2%) on GCV with APH.

Advanced Combustion & Furnace Technology

The VTF Series features a sophisticated combustion system designed for seamless fuel handling and optimal heat release:

  • Automated Fuel Feeding: Utilizes a precision screw feeder system for the consistent handling of free-flow fuels, reducing manual labor and ensuring a steady heat output.
  • FBC Technology: The Fluidized Bed Combustion ensures complete carbon burnout and uniform temperature distribution within the furnace, significantly lowering fuel consumption.
  • Integrated Air Management: Features a balanced draft system with high-performance Induced Draft (ID) and Forced Draft (FD) fans, along with advanced pollution control equipment to meet environmental standards.
  • On-Site Custom Construction: The refractory-lined furnace chamber is expertly constructed on-site, including professional foundation work, supporting structures, and precise air plenum chamber alignment.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Four-Pass Design: Maximizes the residence time of flue gases, ensuring the highest possible heat transfer to the thermic fluid.
  • Multi-Fuel Flexibility: Designed to fire low-cost fuels like Crushed Coal, Agro-Pellets, and Crushed Briquettes, providing a shield against fluctuating fuel prices.
  • High-Temperature Capability: Built to handle demanding industrial processes that require stable, high-temperature thermal oil circulation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Coal, Agro Pellet & FBC Fired Thermic Fluid Heater

A Four-Pass design forces the hot gases to travel through the heater one extra time before exiting. This allows more heat to be absorbed by the thermic fluid, leading to lower stack temperatures and significantly higher overall fuel efficiency.

FBC technology suspends fuel particles in a hot, bubbling bed of ash and sand using air. This leads to much more efficient and uniform combustion than traditional grate firing, allowing you to get more heat out of lower-quality fuels.

Yes. Every VTF Series installation is equipped with an air and flue gas handling system that includes pollution control measures to ensure that dust and emissions are kept within permissible industrial limits.

Yes. The VTF Series is designed for "Fuel Flexibility." As long as the fuel is crushed or in pellet/briquette form, the automated screw feeder can handle different fuel types with minimal adjustments to the air-fuel ratio.

The heater unit is manufactured at our facility, but the refractory-lined furnace chamber is constructed on-site by our expert team. This ensures the foundation and brickwork are perfectly aligned with your plant’s specific layout and floor requirements.
