Features

Gas Fired Semi Industrial Boiler

The SIB Series by Balkrishna Boilers is a highly adaptable, two-pass smoke tube steam generator engineered for efficiency and ease of operation. Available in both horizontal and vertical configurations, the SIB is designed to meet the steam requirements of semi-industrial setups where space, fuel versatility, and rapid steam generation are critical.

Whether you require a gas-fired unit for clean operations or a solid-fuel setup for cost-effectiveness, the SIB Series provides a robust, "dry-back" design that ensures maximum heat transfer and durability.

Operating Range

  • Capacity – 100 KG/HR to 500 KG/HR
  • Fuel- coal/wood/gas/oil/Ele.power.
  • Pressure- 7.00 KG/cm²

Advanced Design & Performance

The SIB Series utilizes a Two-Pass Smoke Tube system. In this design, the hot combustion gases travel through the furnace and then return through a bank of smoke tubes. This "dry-back" construction allows for easy access to the tubes for cleaning and inspection, ensuring the boiler maintains peak thermal efficiency throughout its lifespan.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Unmatched Fuel Flexibility: One of the most versatile boilers in our range, the SIB can be configured to fire Natural Gas, LPG, Diesel (Oil), Coal, Wood, or even Electric Power.
  • Compact & Space-Saving: Designed with a small footprint, the SIB is ideal for facilities where floor space is at a premium or where the boiler must be placed near the point of use.
  • Rapid Steam Generation: The optimized water-to-steam ratio allows the SIB to reach operating pressures quickly, reducing wait times during daily startups.
  • High-Quality Construction: Built with heavy-duty boiler-grade steel and precision-welded smoke tubes to ensure safe operation at pressures up to 7 kg/cm².
  • User-Friendly Operation: Simplified controls and easy-access cleaning doors make the SIB one of the most maintainable boilers in its class.

Industry Applications

The SIB Series is a versatile workhorse for various sectors requiring reliable, small-scale steam:

  • Garment & Textile: For steam pressing, ironing, and fabric pleating units.
  • Food Processing: Ideal for small dairies, bakeries, and commercial kitchens for cooking and sterilization.
  • Pharmaceuticals: For laboratory research, pilot plants, and small-scale autoclave operations.
  • Chemicals: Used in small batch reactors and for heating chemical storage tanks.
  • Hospitality: Efficient steam source for hotel laundries and health club steam rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Gas Fired Semi Industrial Boiler

"Two-pass" refers to the number of times combustion gases travel through the boiler to transfer heat to the water. "Dry-back" means the rear door of the boiler is lined with refractory material rather than water, allowing for much easier access during maintenance and tube cleaning.

While the pressure vessel is designed for multi-fuel use, the burner or grate system is specific to the fuel type. However, the SIB's design makes it relatively simple to retrofit or change the firing system if your fuel requirements change in the future.

Yes. The SIB is specifically designed as a "Semi-Industrial" unit. Its vertical configuration, in particular, has an extremely small footprint, making it perfect for basement installations or small utility rooms.

Because of its compact design and efficient smoke-tube layout, the SIB can typically generate steam at the required pressure within 15–25 minutes, depending on the fuel type and capacity.

To prevent scale buildup in the smoke tubes and ensure a long lifespan, we highly recommend using treated water. Scale acts as an insulator, reducing efficiency and eventually causing damage to the tubes.
